Your pet can experience a serious medical issue or emergency at any time, and it is in our veterinary treatment area where we are able to provide the care and attention your pet needs while facing his or her most difficult health challenges. Clairmont Animal Hospital employs registered veterinary technicians that are specially trained in handling urgent and complicated veterinary cases. This special team makes up the heart of our veterinary treatment area. In addition, our veterinarians have years of experience in handling critically ill pets and in educating owners on their pet’s care options.

Our Intensive Care Services and Equipment

Emergencies and critical care cases that we often treat in our hospital include:

  • Bladder and kidney operations
  • Foreign body removal
  • Lacerations and wounds
  • Splenectomies
  • Traumatic injuries (automobile accidents, falls, bites from other animals)

In addition to our in-house veterinary laboratory , we also utilize special equipment including:

  • Blood pressure units
  • EKG
  • IV pumps
  • Oxygen tanks
  • Pain management

Post-Operative Care

After your pet receives care in our veterinary treatment area, he or she may require additional care and observation, which will also take place here, ensuring your pet remains under our close supervision while recovering in a comfortable and quiet environment.

Once your pet is able to return home, our veterinarians will remain in contact with you on a regular basis to monitor your pet’s recovery, check for any complications, and to schedule follow-up visits.
